Waka Ama

The waka Ama is about racing.The  race was about to begin so they started racing on the ocean. New Zealand game 1 on the last round. The other city's came 2th 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th and 10th. Everyone who was in New Zealand started to be proud of the men's who played the waka Ama.

Visiting santa

Dear santa please come and visit room 24 at point England School in New Zealand. Please bring your elves too. My name is Taoro. Miss Nalder is the best teacher in the  world   Because  she is nice to us and let's us  do fun things. I hope you bring presents too. I like to play tag with my friends Julius and toks . The Solar system

The solar system is a group of planets that orbit the sun. The planets are called mercury, Venus, earth, mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. The moon lights up the earth when it is dark. However the moon doesn't make the light, it reflects sunlight back to earth. 

The sun is a star. Earth is a planet in space and people live on earth.. Mars is the hottest planet in space. The color of mars is red. Saturn has rings around itself. Pluto is the littlest planet and is the furthest away from the sun.

My dream holiday

In my dream holiday I wish to go lolly world because every day I can see lollies in the whole world. The mud is chocolate it was time for dinner. For dinner we had Mac Donald's . I came on a jet because  they can go fast . I like swimming in the sea.

Room 24 went to the Auckland museum and went insid I like the dinosaurs because I like dinosaurs because they have big teeth. 

My Wonderful Weekend

  

On the weekend me and my brother went on he's netbook . We played Drogan Ball Z. First we was cleaning the house. Later we got tired and had a little break. Next we were watching a movie in the room. After that we went to djrop off my dad to work. I felt happy.

Magical Matariki

 

What is Matariki?

Matariki is when seven stars go together, When the stars come together the stars glow then it’s Maori new year. The stats disappear in late April. At winter time in May the stars come up again. The stars are light and bright in the night sky. When you go outside in winter you can go outside and you may see the seven stars. It’s the new year. There is another name for the seven stars called the seven sisters. The biggest sister guides the youngest sisters to where they belong up in the sky. We celebrate Matariki in lots of different ways. We go fishing to catch kai moana. We tell stories of the past. We fly kites for Matariki.

My Holiday Highlight

The highlight of my holidays was going to an easter hunt . Me and my sisters had to wait for the others so we could start. Then the people came and they started it. First we got Changed for the Easter Hunt . Next we got there and we had to sit down. After we started the Easter hunt. Later I got four Easter eggs. I felt happy because  Easter is fun.

Melinda comes to visit room 24.

Yesterday morning Melinda came to visit room24. She is an author of  children's books and she wanted to share her love of books  with us . First Melinda went to visit room 25 . Next Melinda came to visit room 24 and room26 came too. We said hi to Melinda . After that Melinda went to read us a story called the were nana.  Lastly Melinda went out. I enjoyed  the visit because I was so happy for Melinda to be in room 24 class.

Making jelly.

Yesterday in the morning room 24 stated making the green colour of traffic light jelly. Fist Miss Szymanik boiled the jug . Next I put  the green  crystals into the bowl . Then kyzel stirred the green crystals. After that miss szymanik  went to put the bowl of green crystals in the fridge to set . Lastly miss szymanik came backer.  The jelly tasted very good.
